Route 32 reopens after bridge repair

Posted

The bridge on River Road just north of Route 263, which closed as a result of damage from Hurricane Ida on Sept. 1, has reopened.
Since Hurricane Ida struck, Santarsiero has been working with PennDOT to address dozens of road closures in Plumstead, Solebury and Upper Makefield townships.

On Jan. 14, state Sen. Steve Santarsiero stopped by the two remaining road closures – River Road just north of Route 263 and Route 263 between Phillips’ Mill Road and River Road – to check the progress being made by PennDOT, the roundup said. These roads sustained serious damage during the storm and both required extensive repairs.
The senator visited the River Road site and shared photos of the completed project, along with his announcement Jan 28. The Route 263 project will take longer to complete, and updates will be provided.
