Rose M. Reshetar

Posted

Rose M. Reshetar passed peacefully in her sleep at Neshaminy Manor on November 2, 2021. She was 100.
Born in Rushland, Pa., the youngest of 10 children (all siblings predeceased), to the late Angelo and Annunziata (Ciccotella) DeFuro, she lived in Doylestown most of her life, before moving to New Hope Manor to be closer to her daughter’s family for the last 18 years.
She retired in 1995, after working for 25 years at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Doylestown. She enjoyed volunteering for many years at The Polish American Family Festival and Country Fair at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, and at the American Legion in Doylestown. She was a devout member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and later attended St. Martin of Tours in New Hope.
Her greatest enjoyment was being with family, friends, and her church community. Her kind heart, charitable deeds, and readiness to put a positive spin on almost anything brought kindness and caring to all she met.
Rose was the wife of William Reshetar, predeceased in 1980. She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Reshetar and son-in-law Timothy Jost, and by her two grandchildren Eliot and Chloe Reshetar-Jost. Known fondly as Aunt Rose, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews, spanning four generations below her.
Services were held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Rose’s memory may be made to: Fisherman’s Mark, 37 S. Main St, Lambertville, NJ 08530, or www.fishermansmark.org or to Bucks County Opportunity Council, 100 Doyle St, Doylestown, PA 18901, or to www.bcoc.org.
