Ronald B. Prybycien

Ronald B. Prybycien, 88, of Furlong, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023 in Neshaminy Manor, Warrington, Pa.

Born in Amsterdam, N.Y., on Dec. 14, 1934, to the late Edmund and Josephine (Chybion) Prybycien, Ron resided in Doylestown, Pa., before moving to Furlong, Pa., in 2015.

Ron graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York City and began his professional career as assistant director of display to Gene Moore at Tiffany & Co., NYC. He started his own business as a product space designer and visual merchandising consultant for retail stores and trade showrooms throughout the U.S. Among them being, Mark Cross Leather Goods, Georg Jenson, Valentino Couture, Cartier, Hanes Hosiery, Rochard Limoges, and Kenneth Hair Salons, NYC. In addition, he opened his own high-end gift store, Accents & Images, with his partner Christopher McCall in the Beekman Place area of New York City. Seventeen years later they moved to Bucks County.

In addition to his design business, Ron was also an artist of miniature oil paintings and participated in many fine art festivals throughout the East Coast. He was represented by the Chapman Gallery in Doylestown, Pa., and the Canal Frame Gallery in Washington Crossing, Pa.

Ron was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War.

He is survived by his husband of 50 years Christopher McCall; brother Jerry Prybycien and wife Sue Prybycien; also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

Rest in peace dear Ronald. You will be eternally loved and missed.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 84 E. Oakland Ave., Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 N. Main St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
