River Towns Magazine calls for artists for “Art of the River Towns”

Posted
River Towns Magazine, a regional lifestyle magazine launched by Herald Publishing last summer, has announced a call for artists for “Art of the River Towns – Juried Art Show + Sale.”

The show will take place June 10 to 12 at the historic Prallsville Mills in Stockton, N.J.

The theme for the show is art inspired by the Delaware River towns which, according to show organizers, can be interpreted any way the artist chooses. All media and subject matter are acceptable.

“This show is in keeping with our core mission of supporting local artists and doing our part to sustain a thriving arts community,” said Joe Wingert, publisher of River Towns Magazine and the Bucks County Herald.

Show winners will receive cash prizes and recognition in River Towns Magazine and the Bucks County Herald, according to Wingert. Proceeds from the sale will go to the artists and the Prallsville Mills Artists Guild.

The show will be juried by Laura Turner Igoe, Ph.D., curator of American Art at the James A. Michener Art Museum; Jill Kearney, founder and executive director, ArtYard in Frenchtown, N.J.; and, Marjorie Frankel Nathanson, executive director of the Hunterdon Art Museum in Clinton, N.J. Chuck and Pearl Minzter, organizers of numerous local art shows, are serving as the show co-chairs.

Applications are being accepted online through March 29. For information, visit rivertownsmagazine.com.
