Rep. Meghan Schroeder (R-Bucks) issued the following statement:
“Over the past decade I have served the 29th District as both a staff member and a legislator. I can honestly say that it has been the privilege of a lifetime to assist the constituents of this district in so many ways. Helping people is truly my passion and I’ve been fortunate to be able to live that passion by serving these very special communities.
“However, there is a season for all things and I now believe the time has come for me to pursue new opportunities. I’m exceedingly proud of what my colleagues, my staff and I have been able to accomplish for Bucks County over the past four years and while the times have certainly been challenging, I will always reflect on them with great fondness.
“I would like to thank all of those who have supported me over the years. I assure you that I will continue to serve my last year in the House of Representatives with the same energy and determination that I have always demonstrated. I truly believe our best days are ahead of us if we work together, respect one another and put the greater good above our own goals and agendas. I look forward to this next chapter of my life.”
