Registration open for St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest

Posted

Registration has opened for The St. Luke’s D&L RaceFest (RaceFest), a four-race event in the Lehigh Valley set for Sunday, Nov. 12.

Sponsored by St. Luke’s University Health Network, RaceFest will be a major fundraiser for the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Inc. (DLNHC), with proceeds going toward ongoing development and stewardship of the D&L Trail and its connection through the Lehigh Valley alongside heritage and recreation programming.

The four signature events that comprise RaceFest are the St. Luke’s D&L Marathon – “The Lehigh Valley’s marathon” – the St. Luke’s D&L Marathon Relay, the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run, presented by St. Luke’s, and the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Walk, presented by St. Luke’s. All events will use major portions of the D&L Trail.

The marathon and the marathon relay will start in downtown Allentown. The fast, USATF-certified, Boston-qualifying course is nicely shaded and easy on the joints. The five relay legs will range from about 4 miles to 7 miles in length.

The D&L Heritage Half Run and the D&L Heritage Half Walk will start in Historic Bethlehem, pick up the D&L Trail about 0.6 miles in, and follow it eastward to downtown Easton.

All registrants will receive a custom athletic cut shirt and all finishers receive a medal, a post-race party at Scott Park in Easton, shuttles back to starting lines, and parking at the starting areas.

Registration for RaceFest utilizes tiered pricing.
