Pumpkinfest took place at Moravian Pottery & Tile Works in Doylestown Oct. 19.

The event, which supports CB Cares Educational Foundation, featured glowing masterpieces from 18 carvers as well as pumpkins carved by the National Art Honor Society students from Central Bucks School District’s three high schools. Jeff Brown from Food Network’s “Halloween Wars” and Bri Kozior of “Masterchef Season 4” fame also participated in the event.

Actvities included inflatable amusement garden, a rock-climbing wall, and live music by the house bands from Doylestown’s School of Rock. The headliner for the evening was Class Act, comprised of Central Bucks School District teachers.

Pumpkinfest kicked off Red Ribbon Week, a national weeklong ATOD (alcohol, tobacco and other drugs) prevention campaign that encouraged young people to live drug free. Proceeds from the event benefit CB Cares’ programs for students and parents along with Innovative Learning grants for educators that focus on STEM, the arts, leadership, career readiness and student wellness with the ultimate purpose of promoting resilient and responsible youth.
