'Princeton Symphony Orchestra’s 2024 Princeton Festival will open at 8 p.m. Friday, June 7, with two-time Grammy Award winner and Metropolitan Opera star Angel Blue.

The soprano will perform her favorite arias with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov.

The weekend includes a pops concert featuring “The Music of Tina Turner” at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 8, and a special Family Day on Sunday, June 9, featuring a free outdoor family yoga class at 9 a.m., followed by a student art exhibit and kids’ activities from 1:30-3:30 p.m., and a 4 p.m. family concert featuring Latin-American singer/guitarist Sonia De Los Santos and her band.

Tony Award-winning actor and television star Santino Fontana will make a cabaret-style appearance for all ages on Saturday June 22.

He is known for his star turns in Broadway productions of “Tootsie” and “Cinderella,” and on television in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and “Sisters,” as well as the voice of Prince Hans in Disney’s animated film “Frozen.”

The intimate performance will include Broadway songs and favorite melodies accompanied by a pianist, interspersed with personal anecdotes.

Fontana has received the Tony Award, two Drama Desks, an Outer Critics Circle, a Lortel, an Obie, and the Clarence Derwent Award for his work in both plays and musicals. He was most recently seen on Broadway in his virtuosic Tony-winning turn as Michael Dorsey/Dorothy Michaels in “Tootsie.”

The Princeton Festival takes place June 7-22, with a state-of-the-art tented pavilion erected on the grounds of Morven Museum & Garden.

Events also include a comic opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a Juneteenth celebration with Black choral music, a Family Day with Latin American music, and genre-defying ensembles. Baroque and chamber concerts take place at nearby Trinity Church.

Performers also will include Latin Grammy nominee Sonia De Los Santos.

Princeton Festival tickets are available now, and range in price from $10 to $135. While most performances take place in the pavilion at Morven Museum & Garden, some are located inside at Trinity Church. For dates, times, program information and tickets, visit
