Princeton Friends hosts Oxford a cappella group

Posted

On Wednesday, March 30, a cappella friends from across the pond, Out of the Blue, will return to Princeton Friends School.
The group from Oxford University, having performed at festivals throughout the U.K., has included the school in its East Coast tour several times over the past many years, delighting listeners with its sharp musical skills and energetic presentation.
OOTB will perform for the entire student body at the close of the school day.
Later in the afternoon, from 3:45 to 5 p.m., OOTB will present a workshop for interested students and adults, leading participants in physical, breathing, and vocal warm ups and a beatboxing tutorial, and teaching them the music and choreography to one of the group’s signature songs. The workshop is free, but pre registration is required.

At 6 p.m., the group will present an evening concert in the Great Room, inviting workshop participants onto the stage to perform the act they learned in the afternoon. In lieu of an admission fee, a free-will offering to support the spring musical will be accepted. Admission to the concert is free, but pre registration is required.
