Princeton Battlefield Society plans Day of Remembrance

Posted

The Princeton Battlefield Society hosts a Day of Remembrance ceremony at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 28, at Princeton Battlefield State Park, 500 Mercer St., Princeton, NJ.

This Memorial Day Weekend event will honor fallen soldiers from all of the country’s wars, and visitors will be offered the chance to pin their own yellow ribbons to a memorial wreath. They can then join the 2nd PA Regiment and historical interpreters in a brief memorial service and the singing of “Amazing Grace.”

Hear the story of the battle that was fought in our backyard and walk the hallowed grounds where George Washington’s ragtag army launched the nation – and where some of the fallen soldiers of the Battle of Princeton still lie.
