The public is invited to an exhibition of landscape paintings titled “Paintings from the Garden State,” which will be on display in September at the Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, 102 Witherspoon St., Princeton, N.J.
The exhibition is created by artists in classes offered by the Arts Council of Princeton and Readington Parks and Recreation, and instructed by artist Charles David Viera. It will be on display in the lower gallery from Sept. 7 to 28, with an opening reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 7, coinciding with the ACP Fall Open House.
“The landscape of New Jersey, from the beautiful shoreline to the spacious farmlands, has been a wonderful inspiration to artists and is often over looked when the conversation turns to the beauty of the northeast,” said Viera.
“Working from vistas in Hunterdon and Mercer counties, the artwork in this exhibition will remind us why New Jersey was dubbed the Garden State.”
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
