Join Potential, Inc. and The Springtime School for their annual fundraising gala from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Rafters, 101 Friends Lane, Newtown.
This year, groove on back to the days of disco with a “Saturday Night Fever” themed evening.
The event includes music, dinner, open bar (wine and beer only), silent and live auctions, raffles, a wine pull, a “Best Dressed of the 70s” contest and dance instructors who will help attendees boogie the night away.
The 2020 recipient of the annual Autism Caring Excellence (ACE) award, given each year to a local hero in the autism community, will also be announced at the event.
Proceeds of the gala will benefit Potential’s “Buy the Bus” fundraising campaign, which hopes to raise $50,000 to purchase a bus that will allow Potential clients to take field trips and attend community events and other therapeutic skill-based outings.
These activities will help them gain social skills, a sense of independence and exposure to opportunities and environments they might not otherwise encounter.
