Doylestown Township

House fire: reported on Conestoga Drive Sept. 6. All residents were evacuated and the fire was put out by the Doylestown Fire Company, police said.

Hilltown

Multiple thefts: of catalytic converters from multiple businesses on the Bethlehem Pike corridor at approximately 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, are under investigation. The vehicles that were targeted were newer Isuzu, gasoline powered trucks. The suspect vehicle is possibly a 2009-2014 black Ford F150 extended cab, potentially with the Lariat trim package. Anyone who can provide any information on the vehicle and or actors, is asked to contact Officer James T. Browne at jbrowne@hilltownpd.org or submit a Tip via CrimeWatch.

Quakertown

Arrested: Daniel Keller, 40, of North Hellertown Avenue, Quakertown, on warrants, after police observed him riding a pedalcycle without illumination in the area of West Broad Street and South 4th Street, at 9:33 p.m. Aug. 18. Keller was found to have numerous active warrants out for his arrest. When told to stop by police, he fled on the bike, and following a foot pursuit, resisted arrest, and was apprehended. Suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in his possession, police said. He was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Falcone and bail was set at $70,000. Keller was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
Charged: James Rosser, 41, of Ebervale Road, Ebervale, with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at 11:12 p.m. Aug. 20, in the 200 block of Front Street for an expired registration.
Arrested: Luis Vazquez, 47, no fixed address, at 9:55 p.m. Aug. 22, at the Econo Lodge, 1446 W. Broad St., on a bench warrant out of Bucks County for failure to appear. He was temporarily held at the Quakertown Police Department until he was turned over to the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department.

Charged: Cole Schmidt, 26, of Arbor Court, Quakertown, with driving under the influence, after police were dispatched to the area of South Ambler and East Broad streets at 8:47 p.m. Aug. 23 for the report of a traffic accident involving a vehicle that was flipped over, had hit another vehicle, and driver had fled the scene.
Charged: David Tender, 37, of 77th Avenue, Philadelphia, Aug. 26, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, stemming from an incident that occurred Aug. 17, in the area of the gas pumps at Giant, 1465 W. Broad St.
Charged: James Barruzza, 49, Interchange Road, Kresgeville, after police stopped him in the area of West Broad Street and South West End Boulevard for a faulty front headlight and faulty license plate lights at 12:21 a.m. Aug. 29. He was subsequently charged with driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cited: Dana Wood, 36, of Berks Court, Quakertown, for her involvement in a hit and run incident that occurred Aug. 28 in the area of Roantree Drive and Berks Court.
Charged: Maxim Tachenko, 24, of Ashfield Lane, Philadelphia, with driving under the influence of alcohol, after police stopped his vehicle for erratic driving and a passenger side brake light that was out, at 10:56 p.m. Sept. 3.
Arrested: Justin Laubach, 25, of West Broad Street, Quakertown, in the 1400 block of West Broad Street at 10:22 a.m. Sept. 7, on a bench warrant out of Bucks County for failure to appear. On search incident to arrest, drug paraphernalia was found, police said. Laubach was transported to Bucks County Prison.

Warrington

Checkpoint charges: made between 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3 and 3 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, by a dozen Bucks County law enforcement agencies and state police at checkpoints on both northbound and southbound lanes of Easton Road in Warrington. The checkpoint resulted in 13 driving under the influence charges and two charges for narcotics violations. Two other unsafe motorists were taken off the road. The detail consisted of 28 officers.
