Central Bucks

Charged: Andrew Garrett Bunce, 27, of Warrington, with strangulation and assault, after police responded to a domestic in progress at 2:54 a.m. Aug. 28, in Doylestown Borough.
Police said Bunce visited the victim’s apartment, following a night out with the victim, when a physical altercation ensued. Bunce would not allow the victim to leave the residence and assaulted/strangled the victim as the victim attempted to leave.
Neighbors intervened and “maced” Bunce at which time he left the scene prior to police arrival.
Bunce was taken into custody in Warrington Township and transported to CBRPD. Bunce was arraigned, bail set at 10% of $100,000 and remanded to Bucks County Prison.

Plumstead

Charged: Charlotte Mary Kleckner, 27, of Doylestown, with accidents involving death or personal injury.

Police were dispatched to the 4700 block of Stump Road at approximately 12:20 a.m. Aug. 28, for the report of pedestrian being struck by a vehicle and the striking vehicle was no longer on scene. When responding officers and EMS arrived, they determined a 61-year-old Pipersville man sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
Officers were able to locate the striking vehicle less than a mile away from the crash and determined the vehicle was being operated by Kleckner, police said. She was taken into custody by the investigating officers and arraigned on one count of accidents involving death or personal injury. District Judge Lisa Gaier set bail at $25,000 unsecured.
The crash is still under investigation and the PTPD is asking if anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and witnessed the crash, to contact Officer Jeffrey Moffett at jmoffett@plumstead.gov or at 215-766-8741 x123.
Plumstead Township Police were assisted at the scene by Doylestown Township Police, Dublin Borough Police, the Plumsteadville Fire Department and Plumsteadville-Point Pleasant EMS.

Quakertown

Cited: Michael Mullen, 22, of Upper Ridge Road, Green Lane, for criminal mischief and public drunkenness, after police were advised of a man near the pole yard fence in the area of 500 block of West Mill Street tampering with things on borough property, at 11:56 a.m. Aug. 18. Search incident to arrest revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Charged: Steven Payne, 38, of West Broad Street, Quakertown, with assault and harassment, in the area of the 9th block of West Broad Street for the report of a domestic in progress at 10:36 a.m. Aug. 19. Payne was arraigned by District Judge Lisa Gaier and bail was set at $50,000. Payne was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
