Plein air auction fundraiser returns

Plein Air Plus Artistic Interpretations of Historic Lambertville and Neighboring River Towns, an annual fundraiser by the Lambertville Historical Society, will take place at Rago Arts and Auction House from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 2.

Along with works by local artists painted during the society’s annual Autumn House Tour, there will be a variety of styles, mediums and studio works of the surrounding area.

More than 30 works of art will be featured during the Plein Air Plus event, held as a silent auction and benefiting the Lambertville Historical Society and the James Marshall House Museum.

All works will be on display and minimum bids will be set. Bidding will close at 8 p.m. sharp, with winners announced at 8:30 p.m. Plein Air Plus will also feature live music by the local band The Lifters, hors d’oeuvres and beverages. There is a $20 suggested donation, $10 donation for LHS members.

Plein Air Plus is made possible with support provided by many local businesses and establishments. Special thanks extended to PageOne Creative Group and Rago Arts & Auction Center.

Local restaurants interested in donating finger foods that evening may contact chairperson Holly Havens at 609-841-2373. More than 300 people attend the event and all donors are recognized with their company logo on a thank-you board.

Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Lambertville Historical Society and the James Marshall House Museum. Parking is available in the rear of the building accessed via Cherry Street.
