Posted

Pita Chip, the Modern Middle Eastern quick-serve restaurant with locations on Temple University’s Campus and in University City, hosts an opening fundraiser at it new location in Yardley.

Located within the Oxford Oaks Shopping Center at 1623 Big Oak Road, the 3,500-square-foot, 68-seat restaurant, hosted a ribbon cutting Wednesday, May 18, followed by special events that benefit two local nonprofits. Continuing Thursday, May 19, from 5 to 9 p.m., dinners can benefit Yardley-area nonprofit Caring for Friends, which provides food and friendship to people in need in the Philadelphia area, and Congregation Kol Emet, a reconstructionist Jewish synagogue located in Morrisville.

Co-founded by Omar Alsaadi and Mouhanad Kabbani, Pita Chip, opened its original location in 2015. Pita Chip’s menu features salad bowls, rice bowls, and pita wraps filled with fresh falafel, chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, and roasted vegetables, as well as hummus and sides.
