Pipersville artist, teacher shows paintings, drawings in Stockton


“Donna McCafferty Paintings and Drawings” is on view at Via Ponte Ristorante Siciliano, 13 Bridge St, Stockton, N.J., through Oct. 31.

It features her oil and watercolor paintings of Bucks County scenes and studio studies.

McCafferty is a fine artist, teacher and graphic designer. Her work includes life drawing, landscapes and botanical close-ups. Her style combines a classical art with a graphic and illustrative approach.

She has a BFA in Fine Arts from Kutztown University. She continued her education at Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute and The Ducret School of Art.

McCafferty only started to show her work in the past few years. She won “Best in Show” for the “Make a Wish” foundation show in Washington Crossing for her watercolor called “HOPE.”

She has also shown her work at the Byers Bucks Fever Art Exhibition, Tinicum Arts Festival, The Carversville Show, Bucks Country Gardens Art Show, The Upstairs Gallery at Sandcastle Winery, The Black Pearl Gallery in Lambertville , N.J., and the Bucks County Visitors Center.

McCafferty teaches Fine Art and Graphic Design to students of all ages in her Koi Art Studio in Pipersville, and as a volunteer weekly at Pine Run to the resident artists.
