Pianist Sara Daneshpour in Pipersville

Internationally known pianist Sara Daneshpour will be the featured performer May 2, at the Delaware Valley Music Club’s concert, at 2 p.m. at High View Farm Studio in Pipersville.

The Music Club performances, held six times a year at various locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, feature distinguished soloists and ensembles, and are open to club members, their guests, and the general public.

The winner of numerous international awards, Daneshpour was third-prize winner of the 2017 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition, and won first prize and gold medal at the 2007 International Russian Music Competition. She has performed in famous concert halls around the world.

Daneshpour is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and earned a master’s degree from the Juilliard School. Her studies have continued since 2015 at the Cleveland Institute of Music.

Daneshpour will perform a Haydn piano sonata, as well as music by Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev and Johann Sebastian Bach. A post-concert reception includes an opportunity to meet the performer.
