Phyllis W. Drelick

Phyllis W. Blessing, King, Speechley, Drelick died peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Langhorne, Pa.
Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Bucks County. She was born on Dec. 10, 1935 and was the only daughter of William Clayton Blessing and Elizabeth Schneider Blessing of Hulmeville, Pa. Phyllis was previously married to Clarence H. King Jr. and was also the beloved wife of the late David C. Speechley and the late Julius A. Drelick Jr. Phyllis will be remembered for her warm and welcoming smile, bubbly personality and her zest for life.
Phyllis, aka “Penny,” thoroughly enjoyed her career as a travel agent. She loved traveling and toured many countries of the world only missing a few. She was proud of her extensive travels and had many fond memories of the places she visited with family, friends and co-workers. Travel advice from Penny was a coveted commodity. She always knew the best places to eat, stay and play.
Phyllis loved her dogs and long walks in the outdoors. She was a backyard gardener and would spend many days sitting and enjoying the gardens and fountains and caring for the wildlife that surrounded her. Phyllis was an avid reader to the extent that she had her own library and was known to read two or three books a week. Phyllis was a very social person, she believed you should do something fun every day. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed entertaining and planning festive get-togethers for family and friends.
Phyllis will be greatly missed as a loving and devoted mom, grandmom, great-grandmom and dear friend. Phyllis is survived by her daughters: Laura Kazana and her husband John of Windermere, Fla.; Donna Carr and her husband John of Venice, Fla.; and Lisa King of Victor, Mt. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Jennifer Goodhart (Justin), Jacquelyn Carr and Matthew Kazana (Erin), and four great-grandchildren: Sydney, Blake, Logan and Lillian.
All are welcome to attend Phyllis’ funeral Mass on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 9:30 a.m., at St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 44 Bridge St., Lambertville, N.J. 08530.
Following Mass, all are invited to attend a life celebration at 11 a.m., at Baci’s Restorante, 2559 Bogarts Tavern Road, Doylestown, PA 18902, to continue to pay tribute to Phyllis.
Her interment will be private, at a later date, in Beechwood Cemetery, Bensalem, Pa.
