Phoebe Ministries launches “Connecting Hearts” matching campaign

Phoebe Ministries launched “Connecting Hearts” matching fundraising campaign in celebration of National Skilled Nursing Care Week. Since COVID-19 is hitting nursing homes and long-term care facilities particularly hard, Phoebe is asking potential donors to match $25,000 that was donated by Cura Hospitality and Citizens Bank to fund the unbudgeted expenses incurred from the effects of the COVID-19 virus on Phoebe’s four continuing care retirement campuses. Expenses for front-line workers include, personal protective equipment or PPE, hazard pay and specialized infection control.

The matching challenge campaign was inspired by the reallocation of event sponsorships from Cura and Citizens to support the unexpected costs incurred by Phoebe as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
