Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center’s food drive exceeds goal

The Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center (PABC) in Doylestown, its member companies and colleagues at the Blumberg Institute and Hepatitis B Foundation collected more food and money than ever before during their annual holiday food drive to benefit people served by the Bucks County Housing Group.

The extended team collecting nearly 1,900 pounds of nonperishable food, which was delivered Jan. 22 to the food pantry run by Bucks County Housing Group. The drive also brought in more than $1,000 in cash for the local charity.

The food delivery was made by a crew from Moody Movers of Doylestown. Along with contributions the people who work at the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center, this year’s food drive also was supported by Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine students taking classes at the PABC. ‘
