Pennswood Art Gallery to exhibit urban landscapes

The Pennswood Art Gallery will present “Paintings by Liz Aubrey” from March 19 through May 7.

Elizabeth Aubrey, a resident of the City of Bordentown, N.J., is a Greater Trenton artist noted for works depicting abstract interpretations of nature, open space and industrial sites.

She has exhibited at the New Jersey State Museum, Trenton City Museum, Prince Street Gallery in New York City, Muse Gallery in Philadelphia, Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster, and the Plainsboro Public Library,

In addition to being included in the Trenton Artists Workshop’s international exhibition in Moscow, she has participated in group shows featuring prominent American artists Mel Leipzig, Huey Lee Smith, and Bernarda Bryson Shahn.

Aubrey is a recipient of a Mercer County Purchase Award and has coordinated exhibitions with the Trenton’s Sage Coalition, curates the current series of exhibitions at the Trenton Free Public Library, and is the president of the Trenton Artists Workshop Association.

An opening reception is set for 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 19. An artist’s talk is scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m. The events are free and open to the public.

Pennswood Art Gallery is located in Pennswood Village at 1382 Langhorne Road, Newtown.
