Cameron Hommel, a recent graduate from Pennsbury High School, was awarded a scholarship by Simon Youth Foundation (SYF) and Oxford Valley Mall last week.
SYF is a national nonprofit organization that champions educational opportunities for students of all backgrounds, has helped more than 17,500 students graduate high school and has awarded over $17 million in scholarships since its inception in 1998.
On June 20, the management team at Oxford Valley Mall presented Hommel with a $1,500 check from SYF to enroll in an accredited college, university, vocational or technical school. In the fall, Cameron will attend Rutgers University where he plans to study accounting.
