Pennridge Area Memorial Day Parade canceled due to pandemic

The Pennridge Area Memorial Day parade, a much-loved tradition, has been canceled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It won't be rescheduled this year. The parade usually is followed by an hour-long memorial service at the War Monument.

Former state Rep. Paul Clymer, commander of Perkasie's Hartzell-Crouthamel American Legion Post 280, which was scheduled to host the parade as part of its 100thh anniversary celebration, said he regrets the need to cancel. "We hope that you and your family are staying healthy during this unprecedented time in our country's history," he said.
