A Penndel Borough man was sentenced Thursday, Dec. 23, to 49 to 98 years in state prison for the sexual assault of five boys from 1993 to 2010.
Louis Charles Aiello, 59, was found guilty in July on several charges, including felony counts of rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16 years old, statutory sexual assault, and aggravated indecent assault.
Aiello was convicted on July 7, 2021, after a three-day waiver trial before Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Diane E. Gibbons. Aiello was also found guilty by Gibbons of felony and misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors, indecent assault and indecent exposure, and two counts of possession of child pornography in a separate case. In addition to his sentence of 49 to 98 years in state prison, Aiello was also deemed a sexually violent predator by the Sex Offender Assessment Board.
