Helping families plan healthy meals with limited supplies — all while
staying within a budget — is the focus of a Penn State Extension webinar
planned for 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. May 14.
“With so many of us practicing social distancing relating to COVID-19,
it may be difficult to make regular trips to the grocery stores or not
being able to find what you need when you do get to the store,” said
Laurie Weinreb-Welch, an educator with extension’s food, family and
health program team. She said the “Meal Planning and Stretching Your
Dollars During Challenging Times” webinar will help participants plan
healthy, affordable meals with easy-to-find non-perishable foods.
The webinar is being offered at no charge, but registration prior to May
10 is required. To register, visit
