Peddler’s Village welcomes two new shops this summer

Posted

This summer, Peddler’s Village in Lahaska is adding two new shops to its 60-store outdoor retail center.

The Cloak and Wand will be opening in early June, and Nissley Vineyards is planning to open in early July.

Initially opened in 2020 in Old Mystic Village in Mystic, Conn., where it continues to operate, The Cloak and Wand is a fantasy store dedicated to the wizards and witches of folklore, myth, and literature.

In addition to cloaks, wands, brooms, books, enchanted plants, and magical items and apparel, the shop includes a potions bar at which guests can order specially brewed custom potions. The Peddler’s Village location will be its second.

A third-generation family owned winery, Nissley Vineyards has been growing grapes and producing wine in Lancaster County, since 1978. Nissley Vineyards offers a full portfolio of wines, ranging from sweet blends to premium barrel-aged varietals—as well as “fun” additions such as canned sparkling wines, wine slushies and specialty wine. The new Peddler’s Village location will mark Nissley Vineyards’ first presence in Bucks County.

“We couldn’t be happier about the addition of these two inventive and forward-thinking businesses to our lineup of specialty shops in Peddler’s Village,” said Bob McGowan, chief operating officer. “Both The Cloak and Wand and Nissley Vineyards have impressive track records in other locations of drawing first-time visitors. They’re also very adept in providing a high level of customer service and cultivating longtime relationships, which is a very important part of the Peddler’s Village ethos.”
