It’s easy being green for 20 local municipalities and nonprofits thanks to a total of $150,000 in grant funding from PECO Green Region, the company’s municipal open space and environmental grant program.
This year’s grants will be used to begin projects that will help improve sustainability across the Greater Philadelphia region. Grants will go to Philadelphia and surrounding counties.
In partnership with Natural Lands, the land conservation organization and facilitator of PECO Green Region, PECO will provide grants to the following municipalities and Bucks County nonprofit organizations: Borough of Langhorne, Ivyland Borough and Upper Southampton Township.
Townships, municipalities, and Philadelphia nonprofits that are preserving green space can visit natlands.org/greenregion and apply for a PECO Green Region grant.
