Patrick J. Rutledge

Patrick J. Rutledge of Jamison, Pa., passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was 74.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Patrick and Mary (Wood) Rutledge, Patrick resided in Philadelphia, Pa. before moving to Jamison, Pa., in 1991. Patrick graduated from Father Judge High School in Philadelphia then served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed as a police officer and detective with the Philadelphia Police Department for 20 years, retiring in 1991.

Patrick’s family will remember his bond with his friends, his love of his family and his unwavering faith. Patrick celebrated his faith as a member of St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church of Jamison. He enjoyed his time with friends supporting the Eagles and Phillies and was able to demonstrate his skill as an expert marksman into his 70’s.

Patrick’s enduring love of his family was celebrated through his marriage of 51 years to his beloved wife Kathleen (Quattrone) Rutledge; devoted father of Brian Rutledge and wife Jennifer, and Heather (Rutledge) Burke; dear brother of the late John Rutledge; loving grandfather of Maggie, River, and Brian Rutledge Jr., Tom and Delia Burke.

Services for Patrick will be private.
