Patricia E. Butkus, 84, passed away at Doylestown Hospital on Friday, April 15, 2022. Prior to her death she resided in Jamison and Warrington, Pa. Patricia (Pat) was born on Nov. 13, 1937 in Jersey City, N.J., to Blanche and Edward McMahon.
She completed her nursing degree at St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing. In 1959, she met Jerome (Jerry) Butkus. Pat and Jerry were married on Aug. 19, 1961, and they had three children.
Pat spent most of her time raising their children. She also continued to work part time as an RN in Doylestown, Pa., and volunteered at Doylestown Hospital in the newborn nursery.
Pat loved cooking, gardening, crafting, traveling, and family gatherings. Pat is survived by her husband Jerry; her daughter Kathy Fontanella (husband Mike) and her son Jerry Butkus (wife Pamela); her grandchildren Mike, Rob, Jackson and Jordan; her brothers Edward McMahon, Walter McMahon, and Vincent McMahon; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Christine Hafler (husband Earl).
A Celebration of Life will be held for Pat at a future date. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or to the organization your choice.
