Palisades selects head football coach

Palisades School District’s School Board voted Dec. 19 to hire Ramie Moussa as head coach of the Pirates.

Moussa held his most recent position as assistant high school football coach at Whitehall High School in Whitehall, starting in May of 2011 through the fall 2018 season. His experience includes coaching both tight ends and offensive line.

Moussa helped lead the Zephyrs to a Lehigh Valley Conference championship in 2011. During his tenure as an assistant coach, Whitehall won back to back 5A District XI championships in 2016 and 2017.

“Coach Moussa is a results-focused and driven leader who leverages seven years of experience at the varsity coaching level. He has maintained a high-standard and has a passion for football which is second to none. He is truly committed to developing the student-athlete. He brings a proven record of success to Palisades and presents strong, transferable skills for a fast-paced highly demanding, and winning program,” said Brian Gilbert, Palisades athletic director and former head coach at Whitehall and Palisades.
