Palisades press box entered unlawfully, note with racial slur found

Posted

Dr. Bridget O’Connell, superintendent of the Palisades School District, sent the following message this morning.

On Wednesday, Aug. 10, a Palisades School District maintenance worker discovered that the press box in the stadium was broken into and that a note that was written contained a racial slur. The press box was locked and it is believed someone manipulated the lock to enter the press box.

The Pennsylvania State Police were notified and a report has been filed, which could result in criminal charges. The Palisades School District will work with law enforcement to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

If you have any information about this incident please contact Trooper Heimbach at the Pennsylvania State Police, Dublin Barracks, at 215-249-9191 or Deana Lancenese, Dr. O’Connell’s secretary, at 610-847-5131 ext 4024.
