Palisades Middle School bomb threat not credible

Posted

On Monday morning, a message referencing a bomb threat was discovered in a boys bathroom at Palisades Middle School, principal Dr. Karl Scheibenhofer told parents in an email that contained the subject line “Everyone is Safe.”

The Pennsylvania State Police responded and conducted an investigation that determined the threat was not credible and students and staff were not in danger. Disciplinary action will be taken as is warranted, said Scheibenhofer said, who added that classes continued “without disruption to learning.”

“It is the ongoing responsibility of our school community to keep our students and staff safe,” Scheibenhofer said. “I would like to thank the PA State Police for their rapid response and assistance in this matter.”
