PA National Quilt Extravaganza returns to Greater Philadelphia Expo Center

The Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza, which is celebrating 28 years, returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks Sept. 16 to 19.
“Mask up, we are going back on-site,” said David Mancuso of Mancuso Show Management, the company that produces the expo.
“We feel confident that we can safely put up our show due to the expansive size of the Expo Center,” he added.
The event is “a complete smorgasbord of vendor shopping, eye-popping quilt displays, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops. Everything for the quilt and textile enthusiast along with just those who come to admire.”
As part of this year’s Extravaganza, attendees will be able to view the entries from the 2021 national quilt competition appropriately themed Coming Back. In addition, there will be 23 quilt and textile arts exhibits on display.
Exhibits are presented by regional groups such as the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild and the Main Line Quilt Guild, along with many other national groups.

The New Hope based promotion company, Mancuso Show Management, is also well-known for bringing to the forefront of its events international quilt art exhibits. Show-goers will also get to view the 2021 premier of the “World Quilt Exhibits: On Tour.” Countries represented this year are Israel, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Spain.
The Merchants Mall will offer shopping for goods from merchants from 18 states, offering a vast variety of products for quilt, textile, and wearable art enthusiasts.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The expo center is located at 100 Station Ave., Oaks. General Admission is $15, which includes re-admission. The cost is $13 for Sunday only.
