On Demand! Programs and Events celebrates 10th year in business

This fall, On Demand! Programs and Events is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a resource for top talent and programs.

Based in Newtown, On Demand! was founded in 2009 by Natalie Joy Kaye, who had previously been involved in the production of conferences, seminars and live performances for over 30 years, including events at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Keswick Theater in Glenside.

“I’m proud, happy, and grateful that for the past 10 years On Demand! has been able to provide programs that fulfill our mission: to inspire, enrich, and promote positive change,” said Kaye.

On Demand! has grown significantly over the past decade. “We started with a dozen people on our talent roster,” said Kaye. “Today, we feature around 75 world-class performers and speakers.”

On Demand!’s roster of talent includes Grammy-nominated musician and humanitarian Sharon Katz; Broadway stars including Jenny Lee Stern and Rebecca Robbins; performer-educators including Keith Spencer, Claudia Pellegrini, and Jeff Dershin; opera singers including Erin Alcorn and Sarah Baumgarten; singer-songwriters including Avi Wisnia and Tony Juliano; and historical lecturers including Trish Chambers, Will Hammerstein and Bill Agress, among others.

On Demand! works with clients ranging from schools and colleges, to libraries, to museums and theaters, to senior and memory care centers. Two years ago, On Demand! delivered approximately 300 programs a year; today, that number has doubled to around 600 programs annually.

On Demand! has brought distinguished performers, speakers and authors to many of the Bucks County area’s noted cultural destinations, including the Bucks County Playhouse, the James A. Michener Art Museum, the Mercer Museum, and the Zlock Performing Arts Center at Bucks County Community College.

Additionally, for the past five years, On Demand! has partnered with the Dementia Society of America to provide programs that enhance the lives of those living with Dementia. These programs are supported in part by the Dementia Society’s Ginny Gives Grants program.

Earlier this year, the Dementia Society presented Kaye with its Diplomat Award to honor her ongoing, exceptional efforts to provide musical programming.

A longtime resident of Bucks County, Kaye is widely recognized as a community advocate and an ambassador for justice, tolerance, and equality. She was appointed by the Bucks County Commissioners to serve on the Human Relations Council and the Women’s Advisory Council – both of which she chaired.

In 2001, Kaye organized the No Place for Hate Committee in Newtown, the first community in Pennsylvania to be certified as a No Place for Hate Community, and named a model program by the Anti-Defamation League.

Winner of the YWCA’s Salute to Women Making a Difference Award among other honors, Kaye founded On Demand! Programs and Events to merge her passion for public service with her experience in event planning, programming, talent booking and fundraising.
