Approximately 50 people attended a reception in St. Mary’s Hall at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Doylestown, on Sunday, April 28.
The reception, sponsored by the Parish Council, was to welcome new members who had joined the Church over recent months.
In attendance, along with many established parishioners who came to welcome the newcomers, was the church’s pastor, the Rev. Msgr. Charles H. Hagan and the Parish vicar, the Rev. Paschal Onunwa, who gave a brief welcoming speech.
Also in attendance were Deacon George V. Corwell, Deacon Jim Fowkes and Sister Thomasann Quinn, OSF, prayer and liturgy coordinator at the Parish school.
Many of the Parish community’s organizations were represented to offer the new members an opportunity to share in the gifts, services and ministries of the church’s faith.
The event demonstrated the Parish community’s Christian ideals of being a community of hospitality and support.
