Officials cut ribbon for new Bucks County Regional Police Headquarters

Posted

Officials gathered for the ribbon cutting at the new Bucks County Regional Police Headquarters at 229 N. Broad St., Doylestown Dec. 21.
The Regional Police Department includes the boroughs of New Britain, Chalfont and Doylestown.
“We are committed to community policing and are instituting programs like a Victim Assistance Unit and officer resilience training that are hard to find among suburban police departments,” Doylestown Mayor Ron Strouse said and he continued with advances that are expected to be made.

“We have used body worn cameras for long enough that, in 2022, we will replace them with a new generation as well as the accompanying software. We established a police foundation to help fund new initiatives. So, while we are proud of the new headquarters building, there is a lot more going on to make our community safe.”
Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick and state Sen. Steve Santarsiero were present at the ceremony.
Doylestown will open its new Borough Hall at 10 Doyle St., on Jan. 3.
