Corcoran Sawyer Smith, a franchisee of Corcoran Group, has announced the acquisition of Weidel Real Estate, marking the brand’s first entry into Pennsylvania and continued expansion across New Jersey.

The addition of Weidel Real Estate’s agents and office locations across Central New Jersey and Bucks County was hailed by the company as a “wonderful addition” for both Corcoran Sawyer Smith and the greater Corcoran family.

By welcoming Weidel Real Estate’s team of more than 180 agents and adding seven offices under its banner, Corcoran Sawyer Smith’s overall footprint will surpass 250 agents and total 10 offices. Corcoran Sawyer Smith will maintain its three current offices in New Jersey, one in Jersey City and two in Hoboken, and now hold offices in Flemington, Hamilton Square, Lambertville, Princeton, and Pennington in New Jersey, as well as New Hope and Doylestown in Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), announced the opening of the 2024 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC).

The competition offers $50,000 to $200,000 in prize awards in two stages to organizations to join SBA’s national innovation support ecosystem to advance small business research and development (R&D) from ideas to market.

The Stage One application portal opened Jan. 8 for five weeks, and the SBA will award up to $3 million in Stage One prize money by April. Two information webinars will be held to support potential Stage One applicants. The webinars are free and open to the public.
