Thrivent, a Fortune 500 diversified financial services organization, with offices in Bucks County, has been recognized by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, as one of the 2023 World’s Most Ethical Companies.

Thrivent has been recognized for 12 consecutive years and is one of only seven honorees in the financial services industry on the list. In 2023, 135 honorees were recognized spanning 19 countries and 46 industries.

The World’s Most Ethical Companies assessment process includes more than 200 questions on culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance activities, governance, diversity, and initiatives that support a strong value chain.

Family Service Association of Bucks County welcomed Kristin DeForest as the agency’s new chief operating officer.

A seasoned professional, she brings decades of experience in the nonprofit human services field, and has served in a variety of clinical and administrative roles.

Prior to joining Family Service, DeForest spent nearly 18 years at Edison Court, Inc. in Doylestown, advancing her way up to Executive Director. Her extensive knowledge using technology and innovation to improve operations of a complex social service agency make her an ideal match for her new position.

Melissa Brindley was appointed vice president, Branch Manager III, the highest designation for a manager, at QNB Bank’s Downtown Office.

Brindley is responsible for all aspects of branch management, including staff development, new business development and supporting community and customer relationships within the Quakertown market. Previously, she served as Vice President, Branch Manager II at QNB’s Coopersburg Office.

Brindley has been in financial services for 16 years. She earned her associate degree from Bucks County Community College and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s leadership program. Currently, she is continuing her education by attending the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Advanced School of Banking. Brindley serves as board member for Southern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce and is an active participant for Quakertown Alive and various leadership committees.

Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce hosts its 2023 Annual Meeting & Dinner, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at The Ryland Inn, 115 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse Station, N.J.

The night will consist of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, the Annual Meeting/Installation of New Officers, and then on to the dinner. There will be a silent auction including artwork, apparel, electronics, and gift baskets. The 2022 Annual Report will be available for distribution the night of the dinner.
