Next Chapter Bookstore in Sellersville partners with author Rupa Mehta

Posted

”Someone calls me mommy,” a new book of poetry honoring mothers and children, is launching a book release in Bucks County June 12.

After moving to Tinicum Township in late 2020 Rupa Mehta and her family were getting settled into their home, and like so many Bucks County residents, they got acquainted with the local papers and magazines. Last year, upon reading about the launch of a new family-owned bookshop in Sellersville, Rupa knew that she wanted to collaborate with the mother-daughter ownership team when the time was right.

Upon completion of the book earlier this year, Rupa received a galley of “someone calls me mommy” in the mail and decided to approach The Next Chapter Bookstore for a collaboration. Helen Ward loved the book and invited Rupa to host an event.

Now, at noon June 12, Rupa will do a live book event at the store: a poetry reading and book signing.

Rupa, whose background is in wellness and childhood education, will also be conducting a special interactive activity to help parents memorialize the memories that they have made with their children.

No RSVP is required for the event and the book is priced at $20 for purchase at the store and online at me-mommy.com. Rupa also has an instagram account that can be followed @rupa_mommy.

The Next Chapter Bookstore is located at 205 N. Main St. in Sellersville, @thenextchaptersellersville.
