Newtown Theatre screens classic films

Ten beloved classic films will return to the big screen as part of the historic Newtown Theatre’s Summer Classic Series.

Many of these films haven’t been seen on the big screen in decades.

Films scheduled for this summer include:

“The Philadelphia Story” – June 6;

The Godfather” – June 20;

“The Godfather: Part II” – June 27;

“Taxi Driver” – July 11;

“The Breakfast Club” – July 18;

“Rebel Without a Cause” – July 25;

“Raging Bull” – Aug. 8;

“Casablanca” – Aug. 15;

“Guys and Dolls” – Aug. 22;

“The Graduate” – Aug. 29.

All showings are at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for all films are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, $7 for children 12 and younger, and $5 for theater members. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the theater before each movie.
