Newtown resident Kirsten D’Angelo is a semifinalist in the 2021 Ms. Health and Fitness competition.
A 49-year-old parent and registered nurse who also runs a nutrition and wellness program through Ignite Fitness, D’Angelo is vying for the title of Ms. Health and Fitness, $20,000 and the cover Muscle and Fitness HERS.
The winner is decided by an online voting system and D’Angelo needs votes to advance to the final rounds of competition.
Voting is free, although people can donate to the charity Homes for Wounded Warriors for extra votes.
Voting for the final eight ends 7 p.m. Thursday, July 29.
