Join Pickering Manor and St. Mary Medical Center for an interactive program designed to keep adults healthy as they age.
“The ‘10 Keys’ to Healthy Aging: Learning to Manage Your Own Health” seminar will be held on April 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State St., Newtown.
Attendees will learn how to lower blood pressure; when to get routine cancer screenings; how to control blood sugar and cholesterol; ways to be active as they age; how to use an exercise band; how to lower fat, sugar, and salt; how to read a label; and learn portion sizes. Lunch will be provided along with an exercise band and carry all bag for all participants to take home.
