The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) Greater Philadelphia Section held its Closing Luncheon and Installation of 2019-2020 officers on June 4, at Talamore Country Club, Ambler. The group also celebrated the 126th anniversary of the national organization’s founding in 1893, making it the oldest Jewish women’s organization in the United States. The Greater Philadelphia Section is one of 64 Sections across the country. The event also featured a program called “Women Soldiers and Spies of the Civil War,” presented by Trish Chambers, right, in period costume. Escorting her to the gathering is Bruce Nussbaum, a Civil War reenactor, in his authentic Confederate uniform.
