New Hope’s Topeo gallery closing, launches retirement sale

Posted

Topeo art and crafts gallery in New Hope will close next spring, and owners Walter Hazzard and Andre Morin will retire after 43 years in business.

Founded in Greenwich Village in New York City in 1980, the gallery relocated to New Hope in 1989. It quickly developed a clientele for American-made art glass, jewelry, pottery and home accessories.

Topeo was voted the Top Retailer of American Crafts in the U.S. two consecutive years by artists from all over the country. “Helping support our artists has always been our joy and a priority of the business,” the gallery owners said in an email.

Topeo is having a closing sale with all artist-made art glass, jewelry, lighting, pottery and wall art, home decor and gifts discounted from 40 % to 60 % off.
