New Hope-Solebury students qualify for FLBA competition

New Hope-Solebury students from the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) attended the 2019 Region 12 Leadership Conference and Competition in December.

Led by their advisor, Chris Marchok, the students had an opportunity to attend various leadership presentations as well as compete in business-related competitions.

The following students have qualified to advance to the state competition: Annelise Dahlin, who placed first in the regional competition for Political Science; Mitchel Mendola, who placed fifth in the regional competition for Marketing; Lilly Smith, who placed second in the regional competition for Advertising; Deepesh Mukherjee, who placed fifth in the regional competition for Intro to Financial Math (Grades 9-10); Kathryn Thistlewaite, who placed third in the regional competition for Intro to Business Procedures (Grades 9-10); Sara Hayden, who placed third in the regional competition for Cyber Security; Rohan Pherwani, who placed fifth in the regional competition for Economics; and Cooper Sorin, who placed second in the regional competition for Health Care Administration.

The FBLA state conference and competition will be held in April in Hershey.
