New Hope Historical Society sets May season opening

Posted

The New Hope Historical Society, located in the Parry Mansion at 45 S. Main St., hosts an event May 4, to welcome back visitors.

In 1966, the New Hope Historical Society purchased the Parry Mansion, which was built and owned by Benjamin Parry (coined the “Father of New Hope”). The mansion continued to be owned by his descendants until the mid-1960s.

From noon to 4 p.m. May 4, there will be live jazz music, family-friendly activities, food, a cash bar, and an opportunity to tour the NHHS gardens. Parking is on the street and in nearby lots only.

Tickets are $25 per person, with children under 12 are admitted for free. RSVP at info@newhopehistorical.org. Walk-ins are welcome.
