New Hope Arts and Crafts Festival cancellation due to pandemic

Posted
Acknowledging recent spikes in COVID-19 case around the country, the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce, with the best interest of attendees, artists and volunteers at heart, has decided to cancel its 27th annual New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival that was scheduled to be held Sept. 26 and 27.

The event had added an outsider art category this year and was accepting talents from all over Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and as far away as Florida, South Carolina, West Virginia, Connecticut, Maryland, and upstate New York.

With such a vast demographic of artists and visitors the Chamber moved to err on the side of caution while closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, a decision that was not easy to come by.

The New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival typically boasts visual arts consisting of premier artists and craftspeople from around the country.

For 2020, the festival had also been in the stages of completely revamping the “already stellar” food court with some favorite healthy choices as requested by artists and visitors alike – this being a theme that will carry into 2021.
