Artist Al Lachman hosts the October meeting of the New Hope Art League at his gallery, Lachman Gallery, in Peddler’s Village from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Lachman will introduce his newly published book, “Secrets of a crazy Artist,” and share his insight and experiences as he celebrates 65 years as a fine artist. The event is free and open to the public. The gallery is shop #44 in the Village, at routes 202 and 263 in Lahaska.
Lachman’s exhibition for his 65th annual show, “Landscapes of the Mind and Soul,” will be on display from Nov. 9 to Dec. 29, at his gallery.
The show will seek to reflect the full range of his paintings from realism to abstraction. Known as a colorist for his luminous and painterly style, Lachman’s influences can be drawn from Van Gogh, Rothko, Degas and Emil Nolde.
