After a successful launch in May, the Milford Merchants Association continues its monthly series of musical performances by local artists.
The next event in The Third Thursday series will feature Bill Ihling on June 20.
The performances have been given a permanent location in Milford – the grassy area at the corner of Bridge and Church streets, site of the former bank drive-up.
Taking advantage of longer summer days, performance time will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for the remainder of the series, through September.
Ihling is a solo singer/guitarist from Erwinna. After 35 years as a sideman in numerous Delaware Valley bands, he is currently “getting in touch with his inner troubadour” as a solo performer.
Ihling’s repertoire features everything from acoustic versions of 60s and 70s rock/pop classics, to “old-school country” favorites, to the best of the “Americana” singer-songwriter genre, and timeless standards.
As with all Milford Merchant Association events, the music performances will be free of charge – spectators need only bring their own chair or blanket. For information, contact Melissa Harrison at 908-995-4854.
